Over the years I have temporarily stocked many different brands of badminton string but often people are reluctant to try new brands other than those they already use such as Yonex, Ashaway and Li-Ning. Regular visitors to my website will know that I have stocked strings by Victor, Babolat, Karakal, Luxilon, Gosen and Apacs amongst others. I'm not sure why there is such a reluctance to try any of these strings but I am considering trialing a few other brands such as Abroz, JNice and Kizuna. I am also considering stocking a few packs of Gosen G-Tone 5 and G-Tone 9 strings. All of the strings that I stock are highly rated, however there is little point in me ordering string and stocking it if no one is prepared to give it a try. The purpose of this post is to see if anyone would like to try strings by lesser known manufacturers. I'm sure that the issue is that the names are so unfamiliar to even regular badminton players that there is a perception that the strings are not of high quality. For example JNice is a Taiwanese badminton equipment manufacturer making racquets and strings and of course they are well known in Taiwan but virtually unheard of here in the UK. The quality of the strings are comparable with the makes we know well but some are much cheaper so would make a sensible option for those on a budget. I would love to hear the thoughts of badminton players who are looking for a cost-effective way of restringing their racquets. I should be very grateful if you would let me know whether you would consider trialing strings from any of these manufacturers. Thanks.
